Safari

So I met this girl/lady and she was born in Africa. She moved her at age 10, with quite an adjustment to America. ANyway, she is going back to Africa next year for a safari and invited me along! How cool would that be!

I am signing up for golf lessons. That should be interesting!!!

Skube is back in town and we are hanging out!!!!

Various Topics

Well- I am currently at home sick. Which is too bad.. there are a few other more fun things I could be doing tonight:(
Moving on. Never thought of checking my profile?? Sure am not as popular as Danielle! Way to go girl!
Sorry Cari- Been super busy and just plain sick but Aaron still doesn't know if he got the job. He said he would try to find out today, I will be a "fly by the seat of your pants" kinda guest.
B- Thanks for the well wishes. I was at a hospital mtg last night until 9:30 and then just collapsed!
Wow- I actually thought the "special man friend" comment was cute but apparently I am the only one who thinks that way. It is hard to know what to call it these days. Boyfriend just doesn't seem age appropriate. I tried partner once and the other person thought I was gay! So, hence, special man friend. Maybe it does sound like I am 75 years old! Oh well. Too bad Aaron doesn't read my blog and blog comments.... poor illiterate bastard just figured out email three months ago.
Thanks for reading!

Bah Hum Bug!

More SNOW!!! Got stuck in my own driveway this morning! Luckily - the neighbor helped me get out of the snow. Ended up shoveling in my dress clothes before work. As usual, 1/3 of the patients on the schedule called and canceled. Had to shovel the driveway again tonight just to get into the garage. REally tired of this!!! Every week I am shoveling snow. Not a little but a lot of snow!!! With my man out of town (nobody liked the phrase special man friend, so I left that part out, although if you know him, you'll understand the special part!) I am left doing all the shoveling by my lonesome. You picked a fine time to leave me lucille!!! And to top it all off- I got a cold while at work today. Can they really come on that fast? Went to work fine, by lunch mediocre but this afternoon crappy and now I am just plain crummy! (and I ran out of kleenex! Go figure!)

The Fun iPod Game!

If you have an iPod.... try this game!

If YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?

So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool... and alot of the songs fit with the setting

Opening Credits: " Change your Mind" Sister Hazel
Waking Up: "Sometimes you can't make it on your own" U2

First Day At School: "Morning Glory" Oasis

Falling In Love: "Back Porch" Sister Hazel (I really have lots of songs by various artists!!! Shuffle sometimes gets stuck on one group!. Sounds like a good title but I think it is actually just a filler of music no lyrics on the album.

Fight Song: "Don't look back in Anger" Oasis (Really...I do have more music!) Not what I would be fighting to!

Breaking Up: "Give In" Sister Hazel WTF!?! You got me...just four artists on my ipod!

Prom night: "My heart will go on" Celion Dion It is about love....

Life: "Give it Away" Red Hot Chilli Peppers

Mental Breakdown: "Synphony No.9" Beethoven (Where did that come from... who's ipod is this?)
Driving: "Surreal" Sister Hazel ( my ipod loves sister hazel..i guess)

Flashback: "We Belong Together" Mariah Carey

Getting back together: "Hang" Matchbox 20

Wedding: " Let's Go To Vegas" Faith Hill (this really came up on its own!!) Weird- that's what Aaron wants to do!

Birth of Child: "She Says" Howie Day ( I love this game. My songs are pretty good.. at least in titles!)

Final Battle: "Glamorous" Fergie

Thoroughly enjoyed this game!!! Secretly, didn't think it would be so fun but I was wrong. Thanks JB!!!

Still Winter.....

Just read my friends' blog and she already has flowers blooming (she lives in Oregon). No flowers here! In fact... this week my area got hit hard with 10" of snow! It was all lake-effect snow and really just hit a small area which happened to include my house, but not where I work. More shoveling for me. Here is a photo of the patio heater on the deck. It had 10" of snow on it and then yesterday was somewhat nice with 30 degree temps and here is the icicle that formed on it! All I can offer for new photos!

My special man-friend is down in Fla. It is always nice for a little time by myself but now I miss him. He will be gone for another week at least. Today, I am working hard on entertaining myself!

Oh, Bummer!

Here is a shout out for all my college girlfriends who put me up and put up with me over this past weekend! Thanks guys! I had a great time! I hope I am still welcome again since I probably am the person in the Lesson #1 of Hope's email :)
And although I originally thought Katie was out of her mind with these crazy food habits- it has enlightened me on grocery items and after digesting the information, I will probably be reading more labels next time I go grocery shopping.
I really wanted to post the pictures I took while up in MN but Aaron took the camera down to Fla with him!!! Bummer! Anyway- we all know we are hot!!! It was great to see everyone and hang out! Makes me wish we all lived a little closer! All we needed was Breard to make a complete circle of friends! Maybe over the summer!
I am looking forward to seeing Danielle's photos! Can't wait for her to post them!!!

Ebaying

I made the leap and starting selling things on Ebay. Two weeks ago, I decided to get rid of some of the excess that I have laying around the house. I placed two plush animals on sale via ebay. It was more time consuming than I thought it would be to register the items. Then of course, there are fees for everything. Listing fee, photo fee, selling fee, fee for paypal, etc. There is a trick to this ebaying stuff. ANyway. It was rather fun! One item had a buyer really quickly and the other item had several "watchers" but no bidders. You really want to sell the item you have up for sale because you have to pay to list it. Not that those fees are high priced, but they do add up! Well, both my items sold!! One for the listing price but the other went up $10!!! I was so excited to sell my stuff that I packaged them up right away and was ready to mail them out when I realized that I haven't actually be paid for them yet. Then comes the part were you wait for $. Neither buyer did anything for a couple days and then they both paid the same day. So off to the post office - mail the packages and whoohoo profit! I made $35!!!!
As you can see- you certainly are not going to get rich doing this! Also- I was freaking myself out, second guessing myself that I put the correct shipping label on the correct plush animal! Stressing to make sure someone wasn't disappointed when they opened their box to find their purchase was something else! Crazy!
My review of my ebay experience is positive! I had anticipated selling some clothing articles that I don't wear anymore but i don't think ebay is the right market for those items. Too much work for little profit. But I think I will continue to look around the house for items that could potentially sell quickly.
