Cosmo girl

After reading my Cosmo magazine (thanks Jeny!!!) i have come to the conclusion that i am acting desperate and possibly needy. Not when i am out, but when i get home. I am over analyzing and driving myself crazy! It is hard when other suitors are lighting up my phone and the one i want to call- doesn't. So- i decided Friday to just 'chill' and it seems to be working in my favor. I saw mr hottie on friday night and he phoned today after his golfing. i am busy with another tax audit and work but really need to get studying for the boards. So----this week it is nose to the grindstone!!!! Focus!

Third Date's a Charm

So. I had a GREAT weekend away from it all in Houston. Lots of fun! I will post pictures when i get home from work. But here are the other juicy stories. Called mr hottie from the airport Friday. Left msg regarding planning a golf outing. He phoned back friday night and left msg saying he was in for golf, whenever! So...goood start. I however, always the aggressor? (when did i totally take that role) texted him on Tuesday a.m. to see if he wanted dinner that night following my arrival in the city. He called and confirmed the dinner. Yeah! Flight was very turbulent as we neared Chicago. Ugh... my stomach was queezy! But i managed to meet up @ his place at 7 pm. (i waited in the lobby for him to come down) then we walked over to a sushi place he had never been to but somehow i, yes me again, knew about. He loved it! So did I! We walked back to his place hand in hand, and i finally got the kiss!!!! Now i wait for his next move. I have come to the conclusion that he is shy or really slow.

Work Dinner

I didn't hear from Mr. Hottie all week (well, one text on Wednesday) and i showed up to his dinner meeting tonight. It was weird at first. No contact. And of course, i made the first move. We chatted a little, joked around. He remembered i was leaving this weekend and asked me about my plans. I was sure to mention that i was visiting my girlfriend who is married with kids!!! Just in case he thought i was meeting some boy or partying it up with boys! Then i had to leave early to do surgery tonight (what a bummer) so he told me he would call me later. Well, i did my surgery and finished to find he texted me. the text said something like thanks for coming, sorry for not spending more time with me, have a great time in houston and give me a call when have some free time. So - i called him on my way home! We talked for exactly 5 minutes and he was kinda quick to get off the phone but he did say to call him next week when i am back in town. So faithful readers.... where do i stand? Does he like me? is he this slow with his program? UGH!!! he does things that make me think he likes me but then again i am not too sure. feedback!!!!

Date night

HEre is the latest.... I had tickets to the minor league baseball game tonight. Opening night! It's the company's seats well..... i was going from work, so this morning i planned out my day and packed my clothes. In the north country, the weather is so variable at this time of the year that i had to pack a TON of stuff! my day was hectic and i thought we would meet before the 7 pm game for dinner but that didn't happen. In fact, he texted me around 5:30 to let me know he would be later than 6 and would text when he left chicago (apparently he went home after work) So- i show up to the park @ 6:30 and was in the parking lot gathering up all my stuff when he called and said he was a few minutes away. So - he parked next to me and we went in. Long story short...we talked and had a great time! He put his hand on my knee as we snuggled under his jacket on our laps ( it was kinda chilly). Aw... it was nice. He is interesting. afterwards, i made him stay for fireworks. Then we went out to our cars and hugged again ( i kissed/pecked him on his check) and we parted ways. No set plans for a second date yet, but he did jester towards that idea. of course, i am already seeing him for a work function on friday. WE just texted all the way home too! P.s. here is my medical deal: excessive moisture in my armpits( right more than left) and now the bald spot. I googled it and thryoid issues can cause these things...so last week i had a full, complete blood panel done. ALL NORMAL!!!! Everything.... including glucose and cholestrol (and i ate breakfast that day!!!) so--- i guess this is normal!!!! What?

OMG!

Got a call from mr Hottie tonight. I met him for dinner....we were the last people to leave!!! Went fairly well. He had golfed 36 holes and was a little tired. I got a hug! And we are meeting up again tomorrow. I was trying to play it "cool". YIKES!!!

troubles in little china

i had a disappointing day yesterday. really struggled with my situation. golf was cancelled due to weather related problems....the course was flooded! and i didn't have anything else planned for the day. I was suppose to golf all day, get drunk and pass out at 8:30!! So, it was rough. cried a little. took a nap. and tried to resurrect my evening. i showered and met a girlfriend for a cocktail. while i am sitting at the bar with her, i realize that my other problem has returned! I have lost more hair. WTF???? why does this keep happening to me? Totally devastating!!!!! luckily it is not in a very obvious spot. Where does that hair go? i never see it or find it. it's enough loss that i should! oh well....today is family day and then tomorrow is MONDAY!!!!

Hot guy continued

Here is the latest: I have been patiently (sort of) waiting for him to make the next move. WEll.... i talked to my friend who set us up on Thursday and she was optimistic regarding talk at work but no contact. On friday, one of the male nurses from that office came to see me as a patient in the office. Thank god i looked good on Friday ( my birthday is today! Yeah! so we celebrated yesterday with lunch and cake at the office). So karla was working, and this guy went back to work, and everyone was talking about the "hot doc" (that's me!!!) so ... i got a text from him that afternoon! We corresponded a little... just simple banter. Then i went out after work and karla meet me later to tell me all the juice at work. Apparently, he is excited to go to the minor league baseball game with me! But, i reitterate to karla... no phone call! WHat is up with that?! KArla to the rescue! She texts him about my birthday and low and behold...he called me last night around 9 pm! Yeah! And he is in valpo on sunday golfing so i told him to call me! Needless to say....i am excited for Monday! Who is excited for Monday???? Crazy!

I need ideas for an outfit to wear to the ball game on Monday. I haven't checked the weather yet. I will be coming from work too. I want something comfortable, hot but casual. not like im trying too hard! Or maybe i should look like im trying too hard?!?

all my other things

Besides trying to find a man, i have been busy practicing golf and patching my lawn. I say patching but i have HUGE areas of no grass. So yesterday i went out and bought two different types of lawn repair. I am conducting my own experiment. I am trying the Scott's low water requirement grass seed and some lawn patch all in one kit. I watered last night and guess what....today is thunderstorms! Hope i have some of the product left tonight!!!

I am also playing in a golf scramble Saturday. Should be exciting!!!

Tuesday

This is just like a soap opera! Here is my thing: i am not in high school anymore. if i like someone, i am going to let them know. That being said. In discussions with some friends regarding "hot" guy. I decided to wait this out and let him make the first move.. . sort of "chase" me. Well, my girlfriend was bugging me last night so i caved and texted him @ 10 pm. Something totally cheesy like: Hi its Cynthia. Heard you were sick. I know a really good doctor :) (except, i forgot to add the smiley face at the end so i guess my humor might not have come across in plain text- I have that problem sometimes) Well... I woke up early and nothing. Went about my day and NOTHING! What???? No response. couldn't believe it! So i sulked around, played 9 holes of golf and decided to let it go. I no sooner text my friend that i was pumped faked when he texts me! Crazy. I, of course, respond way too quickly but i invited him to a ball game on Monday night. That's right! I asked him out!!!! And he said yes. So.... i guess we have a date! But today is only Tuesday. What to do till next week????

Monday

Well.... I was rehashing my evening on Friday all weekend long. You know how it is. Replaying things in my mind. WHy did i say that? Ugh! Forehead slap. Oh well. ANd i was thinking, if he was interested... he would track me down somehow today. So ... I let it go. But late this afternoon, my friend that set us up texted me to call her. She said he was sick today and did ask for my number. THerefore, i am still waiting. We shall see what tomorrow holds!

Fun Friday!

Friday night adventure: I had a "blind" date last night. More like a meet and greet type "date" and yes we have to talk in quotes because everything was a set-up. I didn't really think i was on a date and he probably didn't either.... but we both knew we were going to meet each other there! Well... he is HOT!!! really ridiculously good looking! We met @ a little mexican joint that is pretty popular on Friday nights. My friend Karla, who works with John, arranged this "meeting" since some of her old co-workers were throwing a going away party that night. THerefore, karla and her husband, me, and john could all mingle amongst these other people we all kinda/ sort of know too!
Well- i was coming from work and therefore dressed like a business professional. Cute but..... I arrived @ 4:30. Bill shows up soon afterwards. I am early, but i know if you don't get there early - you don't get a table. Karla shows up looking hot! She tells me John went home after work to shower and change and will be arriving @ 6:30. Here is the scoop. He works in my area but lives in Chicago. So ... he was going home to chicago to change and then drive back out here for this "meeting" and then back to chicago (apparently his parents were coming in for mother's day weekend so he had to be home by 11 pm which means he has to leave by 10ish) I probably would have cancelled - too much driving around! But... if he is changing, i needed to change too! So off i flew back to my house to shower and change and spritz (or douse) myself in perfume!!! I get back at 6:30 and no John. Bill (who has been drinking since i left) is pissed this guy didn't show up on time. Bill hasn't meet John before either and i thought it was sweet he was upset! I wasn't worried... it is friday and traffic is usually heavy. We are now sitting at a table of 6 four person tables all squeezed together. THe place is packed! I refuse to get "stuck" on the inside - so i sit next to bill. THis mexican place is known for its margaritas and they are STRONG. I see this lady (in her 50's) down the fish bowl size margarita and i lean over to karla ... and tell her that lady needs to go home... i knew what was going to happen!
Everybody is having a good time, i am chitchatting with this lady when Bill tells me thumbs up on my "date". I turn and look and he is HOT!!! All the other girls/ladies think this too and start asking Karla who he is. She introduced him to Bill, me and then everyone else in the party! He didn't really look at me and we really weren't in a situation where we could talk. Just as i am getting frustrated...the lady with the margarita pukes in her glass, then on her shirt, and all over the table/floor. Disgusting! But ice breaker for me. I tell John and bill ..we should move into the bar. so we do and now i am in my glory....telling jokes, smiling, touching his arm (huge biceps!) Shortly afterwards we left and headed to another bar where a band was playing. I sat next to him there and of course had to lean in and talk in his ear due to noise. But ... it is strategy for me! Blowing in his ear, falling in his lap and whafting my perfume on him! It's my magic dust! He did put his hand on the small of my back a few times which i took as a good sign. But he did leave pretty promptly @10 pm . no exchange of numbers so maybe it's not going anywhere. I had a great time though! WHat do i do next? Any advice?
