I sold the house!!!! OMG! 30 days on the market. Now John and I are moving! WE have less than 20 days to get this accomplished. Yikes!!! Should be fun!

Here I am!

Ok folks! Time to catch up!
First- it's official! I am now Dr. Grundy!
Second- John and I just got back from sunny Florida, ah! Breathtaking views!!!
We caught a Miami Dolphins game while we were down there. 40 yd line 4 row up! Squinting, sweating watching football, odd feeling!

Poison Ivy!

Wish that was something as nice as honemoon love :(
However, I was enjoying the wilderness (ok...just Shawnee national forest) with my mom over the last weekend and somehow contracted poison ivy all over my FACE! Nowhere else really just my face and under my chin. Crazy! I have never had poison ivy before and quite frankly thought i was immune to it! I don't even know how I got this! (I think it is poison ivy...and i have asked several doctors who agree, at least it is their best guess too!)
Is it possible to get it from spider webs? That is the only thing that was different for my mom and me. I led the way on the paths/hiking trails and kept having to clear all the webs from my face. Did a spider crawl thru poison ivy and then walk all over his web?
Oh well- im on steroids trying not to scratch! I look like a freak! How long does this last?!?

1st day of Summer 2010!

Yeah!!! Right?! First day of summer! Oh wait.....yup, went to work!
And then came home to study! WHat kind of summer is that!!
Well, count down to stress free life is 2 days! (who am i kidding, the stress goes on it just changes to more enjoyable things!)
Oral boards are friday, ankle this year! But- this will be the last! (at least until recertification in 9 yrs)






John and I did manage to squeeze in a trip to the Indianapolis 500! It was the hottest race on record...broke the previous high temp of 92 degrees set back in 1939! Our temp for the race was a balmy 93! Take that 1939!

This is a stab at humor!

How funny is it to stand in front of your closet which is full of clothes and not find a single thing to wear! Yet- I can go to the store,, purchase a pair of black pants thinking they are the best black pants in the world only to get home and find 6 MORE WORLD'S GREATEST black pants!

Thursday- i was sitting in my car in the left turn lane checking my email on my cell phone with my right hand and "itching" my nose with my left hand, when I turned to find a guy in a white trans am staring at me. I put my phone down to begin turning thinking the guy thought I was hot/ good looking chic but then I realized maybe he was staring because he thought I was picking my nose!!!! Laughed all the way to work!

Life is going by quickly.....
I am officially a hypocrite! Yes ...it is true!
I swore up and down that I would not knowingly subject myself to the stress of Boards again but I DID! Although, with a wedding to plan and work to do, somehow it doesn't seem so stressful this year. Maybe because I have been through the process already.
So- I have two more weeks to finish wedding planning before I start studying for Boards. Can't wait! Studying!!!

Yup..... that's right! I am officially engaged to Mr. John Grundy!!!!
I hear wedding bells ..... the ceremony will be August 14, 2010 in my town!
Guess maybe you'all will be traveling to see me this year!!!!

Oops..i did it again!

Well, if i didn't think i had enough stress in my life last year studying for the oral surgical boards....i voluntarily signed up again for my rearfoot/ankle oral boards this summer! I must be crazy or ill....somebody call a doctor!

life is good today!

Happy 2010! Can't believe how fast time flies! I am having a blast....work is busy, dating is good (and getting more serious), weather is crappy but what do you expect from winter!
Days have been filled with fun adventures. Last week Friday was my company holiday (post-holiday) Christmas party! I guess Christmas snuck up on them this year! We got free drinks and appetizers for an hour and then tickets to the comedy club. It was a FUN time and the comedians were pretty funny too! Sometimes they are dry or crass but these two guys were cleverly funny and not too offensive ( i didn't find them offensive at all ...but that is just me) Photo from the party...doesn't he look dapper!
Saturday night was the Bulls game in the city and Sunday i hosted a party for the greatest play off game of ALL time...too bad my team had to lose! Still sulking around the house about that one! It pains me to say it but i am now cheering for Brett Favre and the Vikings (ugh)!!!!
Hey...btw, i am looking to collect all of Brett Favre's jerseys and currently have the green bay and vikings ones, looking for jets and atlanta falcons. i haven't tried real hard yet so if anyone has more time to look, point me in the right direction! Cheers to all my friends and family! My new years resolution (i actually made three of them) is to visit all my friends this year! So look out!!!! Cynthia is coming your way!

Hello Fellow Readers! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

I have been super busy this December. Hard to believe it is Christmas! I successfully hosted the Family Christmas party last Saturday. Couldn't have done it without Mr. Hottie"s help! He attended the function and seamlessly fit in to the family. It was rather nice to watch him interact with everyone! I will be seeing him again on Christmas night to exchange gifts! Should be fun!!!

I am blessed to have so many good things in my life and wish all of you a happy holiday season and a joyous 2010!

Did ya miss me???

I'm back! It has been busy down here in my neck of the woods!
Work is CRAZY!!! But good! Can't complain too much about that. Getting ready to renegotiate my contract. That should be fun!
Also, i am having my wisdom teeth yanked on Friday! Not looking forward to that one but its needed.
And, i went home with mr hottie for Thanksgiving! How about that! It was really awkward though. I guess it is difficult for "regular" folk to entertain a "doctor". I never look at it that way, it is too weird! Im just a regular person!
Things are going well with him. I would even venture to say getting serious....but stay tuned!

Dating sucks!

Just when you think things are going smooth WHAMO! you find out something disappointing! I was spying (ok..i admit i should probably not have done it but..) on mr hottie's computer and discovered he is on match.com. Not only on it but actively checking it daily and responding to other potential love interests. Granted this is a hard way to date (i am also on it (not actively)) but still!!! So i brought it to his attention that i knew this and he states emphatically that he is only dating me and only interested in me. But the gut doesn't lie and i have had a feeling something was amiss. So if you are interested in checking this out and maybe seeing if he is interested in you...set up a dummy link! he is johnboz19 or boz19 in chicago! Men Suck!!!!

I WON!!!!

Got off the phone with the IRS this morning and my case is being closed! My return was finally accepted as i originally filed it!!! WHOA! I fought the law and I WON!!! How exciting!!!! Can't wait to get that in writing!!!!!

Here is an update on the rest of my life.... work is going great! I am super busy! I am now working 5 days a week (i know, i lived a great life before, suck it up!)
I am seeing mr hottie on a regular basis. it is interesting...we get along great when we are together (which has been the last 3 weekends) but just don't see each other during the week much. It is like having a long distance relationship. Not sure i am liking that too much. I am being sensitive/emotional/paranoid today so i will just leave that as that. My finger is healing but still really stiff! And that about wraps it up. Crazy life i have...all work, some play, no commitments. Weird.
