Blackberry Crackberry!

Here is my weekend synopsis. I worked hard all week, very busy so on Friday John suggested i meet him in the city. Well, towards the end of my workday a rep friend of mine texted to see if i wanted to meet in the city for a drink or two at a new hot spot. SURE! So, I booked it home to change then headed to the city. I was having a great time! John hooked up with me later, we all were drinking and partying it up till i got hammered! We left @ 11 pm and i did the dreaded unglorified act of puking in the cab! How embarrassing! Threw up most of the night too! How about them apples! Nothing screams marry me like a chic throwing up in your trash can! Oh well, i apolized profusely!
Saturday- we were suppose to go to lake geneva to golf but since i broke my finger i wasn't sure i would be able to play. Also- i had to give back the clubs i had borrowed from my friend so i was clubless. John and i decided to go golfing in my neck of the woods. We went shopping for clubs and i got an awesome deal on a new set of great clubs. We headed to the driving range to try them out and whamo! Love them! And am hitting great....even with my sore finger. So we decided to go golfing. We hit the links and skipped by some golfers, heading straight to hole 3 to start. He hits, i hit and just as we are driving to where the balls are, i realize my phone is missing. Impossible! I just checked the purdue and ND games prior to teeing off! So in a matter of 3 minutes i lost my cellphone!!! We looked for that thing for 40 minutes!!!! Could not find it! Bummed me out but what are you gonna do? I sucked it up and continued golfing. Did pretty well...Love my new clubs (did i say that already)! ANyway, i was lost without my phone!!! I have complete dependence on the thing....not even using it but just knowing it is there for me if i need it! The golf place said i should call the next day and that they have found all kinds of things before. I phoned around 3 pm yesterday and sure enough...they had my cellphone! WOW! someone must have found it and turned it it! Amazing!! So i am back in action!!!! Yeah!

Hooray for the Weekend!

Check this out! Railcats playoff game last night and of course some extracurricular drinking too! Today, Popcorn Festival in Valpo and tonight... the U2 concert @ Soldier Field. Tomorrow...FOOTBALL all day! Doesn't get any better than that!!!!!

I Broke My Finger!!!

Chalk one off the list! First bone broken!
Yup... had a great holiday weekend but sustained a chip fracture to my left index finger. Thank god it was my left hand! Here is the story: I went down to Purdue for the season opener and was doing some tailgating...which of course means drinking and college shit like throwing a football back and forth. Well, i was trying to show off a bit and wham-O...thought i just jammed the knuckle but when i woke up Sunday, the finger looked like a plump sausage! Scared me kinda. Oh well, swelling is almost gone but i still can't move it very well and the hand dr said to hold off on that for two weeks! At least i have a hand dr on speed dial!!!!

Railcats

I am going on a date tonight to the Railcats game with Grundy. I have to "work" the function too. The Board of Directors for the Reilly C. Bush Memorial Foundation is receiving a big (size wise) check from our fundraiser with the Railcats. I have never received a BIG check before...should be interesting. I asked Grundy first to go but i do have another dude who asked me out last week. I don't know exactly what the other dude looks like yet. He works at the hospital in surgery and i know i know him but can't place him. (i go to 5 hospitals so it is difficult to remember everyone, plus i ususally only see them in scrubs and hair bonnets!)

Katie- The new job sounds interesting! Let me know if i can help in any way! Where are you moving to??? I am sure you are SUPER busy right now. Appreciate the updates!

The 3 Day Experience

i think the photos speak for themselves! The 3 Day was a truly amazing experience. A true test of endurance, physical pain, and willpower! I am VERY proud of my friend, Mel! Couldn't have done it without you...and I mean that!!!! Glad to have walked with you!
I am waiting for Mel to send me the final end of Day 3 photo of us as we entered into Soldier Field but the first photo is prior to any walking, the second photo is after day 2 and the last is me removing Mel's toenails. Sorry girl!

The Weekend!

It's Wednesday and i have one more day left of my workweek! I am off for the Breast Cancer 3 Day tomorrow night. A little nervous... suppose to be HOT!!! Chicago is getting all the heat Stokes just had. Nothing like chaffed thighs!!! Oh well- hopefully Mel gets to meet Mr. hottie too!
