Whew!

all i can say is that i am so GLAD my boards exam is OVER!!! It was tough and excruitiatingly stressful! I feel 50/50 about it....some parts i think i did really well and others, not so much. So... by the grace of god and hopefully the bell curve - i pass. if not... too soon to tell if i will ever knowingly put myself thru this again!

I am looking forward to enjoying the rest of my summer (although truthfully...it just started with warm weather last week). I am golfing tomorrow with the Railcats, a independent baseball team that we (Great Lakes Ortho) sponsor- then off to the office! Just as a doctor's life should be ;)

Here is Where I am at

As you can probably tell by the frequency of my posts that i have been super busy! I finished the audit! Attempted to fax it off for several days when i realized that the fax number listed on the official government IRS form was incorrect! So finally got that off yesterday. Here is a good story from the week: I signed up for the golf outing sponsored by the hospital. The boss and i were suppose to golf. Well- i arrived on time and happen to see these two hot dudes in front of me to register. I register and proceed to the lunch area. These guys were checking out the raffle prizes and i couldn't help but go over and give them a hard time. They wanted to know who i was golfing with and pretty soon they said "we" should all golf together! OK! i was fine with that! So i went and changed our foursome! Turns out, the boss and i were suppose to golf with two other chics and they were razzing me about dumping them for the hot dudes! Well- these two guys work for the same company as Mr Hottie! Ugh! can't get away from that bunch. I haven't really talked to HIM in case you were curious. I also resisted my urge to call/text him that i was golfing with his cohorts. I was hoping they might casually mention that they golfed with a hot doc to him and he would be inquisitive. So far, no go.
Now- today... i have to tidy up the house and then start studying for boards next weekend. I am definitely feeling the stress. Luckily i have only 1/2 days mon-wed and off the rest of the week.

Just my luck

I have been slapped with yet another tax audit. I think i am being targeted now! So i have been frantically/ diligently gathering receipts to substantiate my taxes. I say frantically because the timing of this is just plain awful! I have SO much going on right now and REALLY need to study for my boards next weekend. BUT... i have all my paperwork ready to fax off to the IRS... another whopping 135 pages! Good luck with that!

Cosmo girl

After reading my Cosmo magazine (thanks Jeny!!!) i have come to the conclusion that i am acting desperate and possibly needy. Not when i am out, but when i get home. I am over analyzing and driving myself crazy! It is hard when other suitors are lighting up my phone and the one i want to call- doesn't. So- i decided Friday to just 'chill' and it seems to be working in my favor. I saw mr hottie on friday night and he phoned today after his golfing. i am busy with another tax audit and work but really need to get studying for the boards. So----this week it is nose to the grindstone!!!! Focus!

Third Date's a Charm

So. I had a GREAT weekend away from it all in Houston. Lots of fun! I will post pictures when i get home from work. But here are the other juicy stories. Called mr hottie from the airport Friday. Left msg regarding planning a golf outing. He phoned back friday night and left msg saying he was in for golf, whenever! So...goood start. I however, always the aggressor? (when did i totally take that role) texted him on Tuesday a.m. to see if he wanted dinner that night following my arrival in the city. He called and confirmed the dinner. Yeah! Flight was very turbulent as we neared Chicago. Ugh... my stomach was queezy! But i managed to meet up @ his place at 7 pm. (i waited in the lobby for him to come down) then we walked over to a sushi place he had never been to but somehow i, yes me again, knew about. He loved it! So did I! We walked back to his place hand in hand, and i finally got the kiss!!!! Now i wait for his next move. I have come to the conclusion that he is shy or really slow.

Work Dinner

I didn't hear from Mr. Hottie all week (well, one text on Wednesday) and i showed up to his dinner meeting tonight. It was weird at first. No contact. And of course, i made the first move. We chatted a little, joked around. He remembered i was leaving this weekend and asked me about my plans. I was sure to mention that i was visiting my girlfriend who is married with kids!!! Just in case he thought i was meeting some boy or partying it up with boys! Then i had to leave early to do surgery tonight (what a bummer) so he told me he would call me later. Well, i did my surgery and finished to find he texted me. the text said something like thanks for coming, sorry for not spending more time with me, have a great time in houston and give me a call when have some free time. So - i called him on my way home! We talked for exactly 5 minutes and he was kinda quick to get off the phone but he did say to call him next week when i am back in town. So faithful readers.... where do i stand? Does he like me? is he this slow with his program? UGH!!! he does things that make me think he likes me but then again i am not too sure. feedback!!!!
