MArch Madness

BTW, I had the chance to fill out a bracket for march madness this year. The area doctors compete against each other.... it is really cool and sponsored by the MRI facility i use regularly. The more games you pick correctly, the further you go in the tournament... the more valuable gifts and prices you and your office staff receive. Well... I am kicking butt!!!! Up until this weekend that is...but i am still in #3 spot (out of 30) not too bad! And i have six different combinations on how I can win overall! THat would entail Michigan St. or Villanova doing really well. not too sure that will have. UNC and Uconn are the favorites!

I have been frantically working on compiling all the information to send off for my surgical boards! What a pain. I am nearing the end, which is good, since it must be received in San Francisco by Friday.
I am in anticipation of the newest addition to the Burrell family! Good luck!
Also- one of my resolutions this year was to see more of my friends. Not sure how successful i have been so far, considering it is almost April. But i am working on a game plan! I will see all of you this year for sure!!!!!
Still working on my personal life. Just haven't had too much time lately, between my cold, boards and now this week i have the biggest surgery of my career to prepare for. Should be exciting!

I did call in some antibiotics yesterday....kinda weird to call in your own meds but the pharmacist didn't say anything about it! I guess it is a cool perk of my job!

Yikes! It has been soooo long since i blogged that i had difficulties remembering my password! Tsk Tsk!
I must admit ... i thoroughly enjoy reading all my friends blogs and updates. It is always a bright spot for me. It is hard to blog about my life. Nobody wants to read about work. Not too much else going on currently. I have been laid up this week with a terrible cold! In fact i missed work yesterday and today! Ugh! There i go...bringin work into it! But i am feeling better! If i recall, i had the same problem last year right around the same time. Weird. Hope this isn't some sort of tradition! Just can't image not feeling good for extended periods of time with a long term illness.
On a positive. I am pleased to announce the latest addition to the lembcke family... Ashland Eleanor 9# 1 oz. She is almost a month old already. Wow- time flies. She is quite the cutie! I was very fortunate to be able to see her when she was just 12 hours old. Amazing!
Well- i am going to clean the cold virus out of my house today!

HAppy NEw Year! CHeers to 2009!
I have been busy shoveling snow! This has been one of the worst winters for precipitation. I think the week of new year's we had record snow fall, frigid temperatures, then it warmed up and rained with flood warnings and oh by the way, tornado warnings too! Crazy! Now it is just snow, snow, snow!!! Feels like MN!

Work has been good. Almost been there a year already! Can't hardly believe it. I read through everyones blogs and i too am setting some goals for this year. One of them: I am going to do the Breast Cancer 3 day walk in Chicago this August. I have thought about it, discussed it, and now I am finally going to commit to it!!! If anyone is interested in joining in... the more the merrier! I am planning on some big fundraising and can help anyone out with the somewhat intimidating $2300 each person has to raise. Just let me know!!!

As the year comes to a close... i can't help but be a little nostalgic. How fast the time flies! I am going to make a New Year's resolution to see my friends more often.. I don't think I made it up to MN once this year, nor TX either! I do appreciate ALL of you and will try to do better in 2009! Please take a moment and look around you. Count your blessings!
