I Broke My Finger!!!

Chalk one off the list! First bone broken!
Yup... had a great holiday weekend but sustained a chip fracture to my left index finger. Thank god it was my left hand! Here is the story: I went down to Purdue for the season opener and was doing some tailgating...which of course means drinking and college shit like throwing a football back and forth. Well, i was trying to show off a bit and wham-O...thought i just jammed the knuckle but when i woke up Sunday, the finger looked like a plump sausage! Scared me kinda. Oh well, swelling is almost gone but i still can't move it very well and the hand dr said to hold off on that for two weeks! At least i have a hand dr on speed dial!!!!

Railcats

I am going on a date tonight to the Railcats game with Grundy. I have to "work" the function too. The Board of Directors for the Reilly C. Bush Memorial Foundation is receiving a big (size wise) check from our fundraiser with the Railcats. I have never received a BIG check before...should be interesting. I asked Grundy first to go but i do have another dude who asked me out last week. I don't know exactly what the other dude looks like yet. He works at the hospital in surgery and i know i know him but can't place him. (i go to 5 hospitals so it is difficult to remember everyone, plus i ususally only see them in scrubs and hair bonnets!)

Katie- The new job sounds interesting! Let me know if i can help in any way! Where are you moving to??? I am sure you are SUPER busy right now. Appreciate the updates!

The 3 Day Experience

i think the photos speak for themselves! The 3 Day was a truly amazing experience. A true test of endurance, physical pain, and willpower! I am VERY proud of my friend, Mel! Couldn't have done it without you...and I mean that!!!! Glad to have walked with you!
I am waiting for Mel to send me the final end of Day 3 photo of us as we entered into Soldier Field but the first photo is prior to any walking, the second photo is after day 2 and the last is me removing Mel's toenails. Sorry girl!

The Weekend!

It's Wednesday and i have one more day left of my workweek! I am off for the Breast Cancer 3 Day tomorrow night. A little nervous... suppose to be HOT!!! Chicago is getting all the heat Stokes just had. Nothing like chaffed thighs!!! Oh well- hopefully Mel gets to meet Mr. hottie too!

where to begin...

Here is an update. I have been SUPER busy! Keeping myself occupied with many interesting projects. First- i am now the proud owner of beach property!!! YEAH! i bought a "turd" in Ogden Dunes Indiana. I basically "stole" this house. It is a little ways off the beach but it IS in a beachfront community! I am moving on up! The house is horrible but it is going to be torn down anyway to make way for an awesome new house with a roof top deck and *hopefully* views of Chicago and lake michigan!!!!
Second- I am getting ready to challenge myself for the love of boobies! In two weeks i am walking 20 miles a day Friday Saturday and Sunday for The 3 Day Susan B Kommen Breast Cancer Walk. So that is 60 miles, sleeping in a pup tent and showering like i am middle school gym class! Third- on the dating front.... i am still hanging out with Mr.Hottie. I just don't get to see him very often and cannot really say if we are dating. Apparently it is a no no to ask him to define the relationship so i am just winging it. I should know better after next week though so stay tuned.

Fourth- i was just up in Chicago for the weekend. Friday night: dinner and drinks, partyied until 3 am Saturday got up at 7, went to the mtg until 10:30 then met my friends to go to the Cubs game!!! Heard we made it on TV!! cant confirm that though because Wrigley doesn't have a jumbotron so we can't see the fan shots at all! Then after the game we proceeded to party all night long too! I hit the wall at midnight and went back to the hotel to passout! Today is just R&R and a water park party tonight (but no drinking for me!!) BTW- we went to several hot spots last night and one of them was the Trump Towers bar...it was sooooo cool!!!! Awesome views!!!! i heard it costs $1 million to own a condo in his building. Really?? It is a recession, right???
Next week i head to Toronto for a conference and hope to get myself into more trouble! I mean....find some more adventures!
